The 1970 Isle of Wight Festival Exhibition

Running from 17th September to 31st December 2011 this free exhibition features images by Swansea photographer Charles Everest.

Experience the majesty of the 1970 Isle of Wight Music Festival, synonymous with performances from music legends Jimi Hendrix, The Who and Jethro Tull, through the lens of stills photographer, BBC newsreel cameraman and film director Charles Everest who immortalised the festival in a series of evocative photographs. Joining Charles Everest’s will be 4 of Guy Portelli’s Pop Icons – The Who, Melanie, Jimi Hendrix and Miles Davis.

Workshop: A series of free guitar lessons from a local tutor aimed at beginners and more advanced players with content tailored to individuals' ability.

September 2011: Battle Art Fair

The centre piece of this year’s Art Fair will be a brand new sculpture “Into the Light” by Guy Portelli VPRBA FRBS.

On show to the public for the first time since its unveiling at Canterbury Cathedral on 14th July, it celebrates the life of Nelson Mandela.

Fast establishing itself as an essential part of the South East arts calendar, the annual Battle Art Fair Exhibition draws together a wide range of new and recent work by established and emerging artists in a comprehensive range of media.
